Linda R. Chapin
Linda R. Chapin, 65, Amherst, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Aug. 19, 1952, the daughter of the late Jack and Wilma (Steinmetz) Chapin in San Diego, Calif. She graduated from University of Oklahoma with three degrees, a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s in nutrition and a doctorate in dental science. She was the first woman to graduate dental school at University of Oklahoma.
She enjoyed traveling, gardening, spending time with her granddaughters and painting.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Gaul, Amherst; one daughter, Meghan (Steven) Kubisiak, Amherst; two granddaughters, Ava and Kinslee, Amherst; and many other relatives and friends.
