OWI: A 37-year-old Stevens Point man was arrested for his third OWI after police pulled him over for driving with a suspended license on Portage and Second St. at 12:52 AM.
Strangulation and Suffocation: Police responded to a disturbance on the 1900 block of Water St. in Stevens Point at 4:04 AM where they arrested a Hancock man for disorderly conduct, false imprisonment, strangulation and suffocation, criminal damage to property, possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant. A 23-year-old Port Edwards woman is the reported victim.
Hit-And-Run: A 33-year-old Nekoosa woman was cited for hit-and-run of an unattended vehicle on the 3500 block of Jefferson St. after a 54-year-old Custer man reported the crash to police at 7:12 AM.
Probation Violation: Police arrested a 33-year-old Stevens Point woman for violating the terms of her probation after they responded to a disturbance on the 200 block of Division St. at 7:50 AM.
Biker Boys: Police were called at 12:21 PM when a 12-year-old boy left McKinley Elementary School on his bicycle. The child returned soon after.
Disorderly Detainment: A 39-year-old Stevens Point man was arrested for violating his probation and disorderly conduct after police were called to 2200 block of Madison St. at 4:41 PM in response to reports of a suspicious person.
Property Damage: A 37-year-old Stevens Point man was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after police responded to a disturbance on the 5400 block of Woodland St. at 8:04 PM.
Motel Mayhem: Police responded to the Knights Inn on Church St. at 6:21 PM where a 61-year-old La Crosse man reportedly refused to pay his bill and vacate his room. Officers dropped the suspect off downtown. Police were called again at 8:32 PM when the same suspect returned to the motel and again refused to leave. The suspect left before the police returned.
