SPASH Tennis Has Big Day at Sectionals

SPASH tennis has placed second in the WIAA Sectional Tournament for a third consecutive year.
The Panthers entered the day trailing Eau Claire Memorial and Wausau East. In the end, SPASH surpassed East with stellar play at the sectional and fell short by 2 points to Eau Claire Memorial.
Sabrina Tang capped off her regular season with a 28-0 record and winning the sectional at the 1 singles flight, and advances to the individual state tournament. Allison Kleman finished in 4th place at the 4 singles flight.
The 1 doubles tandem of Lillie James/Taylor Konczal finished in 3rd place earning a trip to the individual state tournament while the No. 2 doubles tandem of Maggie Negaard Elizabeth /Wentzel won the No. 2 doubles flight and advance to the individual state tournament as well.
The No. 3 doubles tandem of Jenna Boeck/Anna Hlavac took 1st place, and more on to the state tourney after beating the Wausau East team that had beaten them in the previous two match-ups.
No. 2 singles Leah Olsen and No. 3 singles Allison Rust lost in sub-sectional play and were not competing at the sectional.
