Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra debuts ‘Fall Fantasy’

By Cassie Lennox
The Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra will kick off its 69th season this year with Fall Fantasy, a concert providing wonderful dichotomy in something old and something new, from the deep-rooted, long standing works of Beethoven and Dvorak, to an innovative new composition by the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s (UWSP) Professor Emeritus, Roger L. Nelson.
Fall Fantasy will show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, and at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at Sentry’s Theater.
“We are really excited to feature Roger (Nelson)’s ‘Forest Reflections’ this year,” said Ann Huntoon, executive director for Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra. “It’s a brand-new composition from a retired UWSP Musical Theater professor. It’s always nice when you get to feature someone local, and I think (the community) will really like it.”
