Birds and trees thrive, are celebrated in Plover

The Village of Plover held a joint Community Arbor Day and Bird City Wisconsin celebration on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the Plover Municipal Building.

Don Kissinger was the representative from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for Arbor Day, and Kent Hall was the representative for .

Kissinger said that the DNR has been celebrating Arbor Day for 41 years, and he still is excited about what Plover has to offer its community.

“The (tree) diversity you guys have here is just great,” he said.
