Ropes course back in business

Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) should have its ropes course reinstated by mid-November, as the School Board unanimously approved replacing the course Monday, Oct. 9.
Board members agreed that the course offers more than curricular lessons; it promotes trust, teamwork and confidence that could carry students into their adult lives as well.
“The concepts of teamwork, leadership, support and encouragement….” Chair Meg Erler said. “It’s important for us to believe in it from an educational perspective, and if we believe in it, it’s important to invest in it.”
