Barbara L. Klopotek, 60, Cape Coral, Fla., a former resident of Stevens Point, died unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, while on vacation visiting family and friends in Wisconsin.
She was born April 8, 1957, in Stevens Point, daughter of the late Edward and Lila (Ostrander) Nagorski. She graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) in 1975. She was married to Terrill Klopotek Oct. 16, 1976. They relocated to Cape Coral, Fla., in 1986.
Mrs. Klopotek worked for Publix Super Markets in the Seafood Department from 1995 to 2006, becoming Head Seafood Specialist in 2002, where she enjoyed helping her customers. She loved spending time with family and friends, taking trips to Disney World and the Florida Strawberry Festival and going to the local dinner theatre. She loved playing with her puppies, Jazzy and Jewel. She was also quite the shopper, and looked forward to the annual “Christmas store” trip.
Survivors include her husband, Terry, Cape Coral, Fla.; two daughters, Melissa Klopotek and Ashley Wilson, both of Cape Coral, Fla.; a sister, Kathy Nagorski, Ft. Myers Beach, Fla.; a brother, Chuck (Cathie) Nagorski, Castle Rock, Wash.; three nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; five great-nephews; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister, David and Charlene; and one adult brother and one adult sister, Randy and Linda.
A memorial mass was held at St. Bronislava Catholic Church, Plover, Oct. 16, 2017, with Rev. Edward Shuttleworth officiating.
The Florida funeral service was held  Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at Fuller Metz Cremation & Funeral Services in Cape Coral, Fla., followed by burial at Coral Ridge Cemetery, Cape Coral, Fla.
The family would like to thank Rev. Shuttleworth and the Pisarski Funeral Home for their support and assistance.
