Delores and Norbert Miller celebrate 60th anniversary

Delores and Norbert Miller celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary this week.
The former Delores G. Slowinski and Norbert Miller were married Oct. 12, 1957, at St. Bartholomew Church in Mill Creek.
Attendants at the wedding were Leona and James Dekarski, Wisconsin Rapids.
She is the daughter of the late Leo and Agnes Slowinski.
He is the son of the late John and Clara Miller.
Delores was a homemaker until their children went to school, and then she worked in the dry cleaning business for 30 years.
Norbert graduated from Central State Teachers College (now University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point) and served as a teacher and coach at Pacelli High School from 1957-1993. After retirement, he worked part-time at the school for another nine years. He also served as alderperson for District 5 for 26 years.
The couple have four children, Kenneth Miller, Stevens Point, Karen (Jeff) Small, Watertown, Kim (Tom) Bannach, Plover, and Kristie (Todd) Strebig, Stevens Point. They also have five grandchildren, Niki Dee (Thomas) Trumble, Lincoln, Neb., Cally Gordon, Wausau, Alissa Small, Green Bay, Taylor Gordon, Plover, and Scott Small, Eau Claire.
Their anniversary is Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017. They plan to observe their anniversary in the comfort of their home with family and friends.
