Donna R. Moss, 85, Stevens Point, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, at Marshfield Medical Center of heart failure.

She was born Jan. 25, 1932, to the late Ora and Margaret (Ingalls) Parker in Hancock. She grew up in Stevens Point, attended the local schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.

She was married to Richard I. Moss April 7, 1951, at the Assembly of God Church, Stevens Point.

She worked at Taylors Drug Store while in school. Following her marriage, she decided to dedicate her time to raising her family. Once they grew older, she worked as a nurse’s aide at the Portage County Health Care Center and was a secretary at an animal hospital.

Mrs. Moss loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, vacationing and going on long bike rides with her husband.

When she was not outdoors, she enjoyed playing table games, especially Yahtzee; playing piano, and baking pies. She was a longtime member of Highland Church. In her younger years, she was the church pianist for the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Richard, Stevens Point; sons, Terry (Connie), Dallas, Texas, Randy (Cindy), Manteca, Calif., Dean (Cynthia), Medford, Ore., and Kurt (Tammy), Rincorn, Ga.; daughter, Jayne (Gerald) Woodard, Tracy, Calif; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Millie Meyer; and one brother, Dick Parker.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Jewell who died at birth.

A funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at Highland Church, Plover. Visitation preceded at the church. Burial will be held in Restlawn Cemetery, Grand Rapids, at a later date.

The family would like to thank home care nurse/friend Sarah Schmidt as well as Jane Martin and Jean Ligeman who assisted with her care.
