Donna R. Moss, 85

Donna R. Moss, age 85, of Stevens Point, died October 19, 2017 at Marshfield Medical Center of heart failure.
Donna was born January 25, 1932 to the late Ora & Margaret (Ingalls) Parker in Hancock, WI. She grew up in Stevens Point, attended the local schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.
She married the love of her life, Richard I. Moss on April 7, 1951 at the Assembly of God Church in Stevens Point.
Donna worked at Taylors Drug Store while in school. Following her marriage, she decided to dedicate her time to raising her family. Once they grew older, she worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Portage County Health Care Center and was a Secretary at an animal hospital.
Donna will be remembered for her loving, generous, happy go lucky persona. She relished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, vacationing, and going on long bike rides with Richard. When she was not outdoors, she enjoyed playing table games, especially Yahtzee; playing piano, and baking pies. She was a longtime member of Highland Church. In her younger years, she was the church pianist for the Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Richard of Stevens Point; son, Terry (Connie) of Dallas, TX; son, Randy (Cindy) of Manteca, CA; son, Dean (Cynthia) of Medford, OR; daughter, Jayne (Gerald) Woodard of Tracy, CA, and son, Kurt (Tammy) of Rincorn, GA. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Millie Meyer; and brother, Dick Parker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ora & Margaret Parker; and daughter, Jewell who died at birth.
A Funeral Service will be held, 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 23, 2017 at Highland Church in Plover. Visitation will precede from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be held in Restlawn Cemetery in Grand Rapids, WI at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Donna’s home care nurse/friend, Sarah Schmidt for the compassionate care that was given. They also would like to thank Jane Martin, and Jean Ligeman who assisted with Donna’s care in the last year.
