Genevieve P. Wayerski
Genevieve P. “Jean” Wayerski, 102, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at The Lodge at Whispering Pines, Plover.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Junction City, where the visitation was held prior to service time. Rev. John Ofori-Domah officiated, and burial was in the parish cemetery. Martens/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
She was born in Plover, the daughter of the late Adam and Katherine Skrzypkowski. She was married to Chester Wayerski, who preceded her in death in 2008. They farmed in Junction City prior to their retirement.
She is survived by three children, Nancy (Norbert) Raab, Arlene (Ronald) Mews and Donald (Karen) Wayerski; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Delores Duda; and one brother, Chet Skippy.
The family would like to thank The Lodge at Whispering Pines for their care as well as the Southern Care Hospice.
