Martha Suzanne “Sue” “Grandma Pretty” Buss, 73, Plover, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017.

She was born Aug. 16, 1944, in Stevens Point, to Dr. Frederic and Bernice Reichardt. She had been married to Michael Buss for 50 years.

She spent 40 years caring for others as a nurse at the Rice Clinic, Stevens Point, where she made several lifelong friends. She was a sports fanatic and took great pride in her Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Brewers.

In addition to her love of sports, she enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge, which she participated in up to five times a week. Her greatest passion in life was her family, including her and her husband’s two dogs, Bella and Maggie.

Survivors include her husband, Michael; three children, Michael (Genette), and Matthew (Stephanie), and Solveig (Jorgen); six grandchildren, Jackson, Luke, Madison, Lilly, Michael and Robert; seven siblings, Frederic, Priscilla, John, Mary, Ann, William and Edwin; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Celis.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
