The sixth-ranked Hornets finished second at the Athens Sectional Friday, Oct. 19, to earn back-to-back trips to the Division 3 State Meet, which is set to begin at 12:40 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.
“We lived to run another week,” said Rosholt girls cross country head coach Mike Trzebiatowski. “And obviously you just want to go in there and improve upon what you did, because in Championship season there’s conference, and then making it through the Sectional without using a lot of effort.
“And then the State Meet is where you can let the horses out of the corral and let them have some fun, running around and doing what they do best,” he said. “Race well and have some fun.”
