Gerald H. Gagas

Gerald H. Gagas, 70, Scandinavia, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Ascension St. Michael’s Hospital, Stevens Point.
He was born Oct. 19, 1947, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Hubert Gagas and Mary (Pliska) Gagas.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver for H.O. Wolding for 43 years.
He was married to Joyce (Ostrowski) Dombrowski Feb. 13, 1999, in Stevens Point.
Mr. Gagas was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Polonia. He was an avid fan of NASCAR Racing and the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Gagas, Scandinavia; his mother, Mary Gagas, Stevens Point; one sister, Dawn Gagas, Stevens Point; and many stepchildren, step-grandchildren and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda and Shirley.
A funeral Mass will be held at noon Saturday, Nov. 4, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
