The unwanted/unused drugs were being shipped out of the country for disposal.
According to Meidl, the exact destination of the truck’s cargo — which left the Plover Police Dept. Monday morning — could not be disclosed for security purposes.
All three departments have drop-off boxes for leftover prescription drugs, and specific Drug Take Back days are held throughout the year. Similar-sized shipments leave the area following collection events held twice annually.
