Dorothy Loretta Bertram, 90

Dorothy Loretta Bertram, 90, passed to her Eternal Home on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017 from her Plover home.
Born April 1, 1927, to Nick and Christina Smazal, in Milladore. She married Donald Bertram, on Jan. 1, 1947. They farmed, in Milladore, until his death on Dec. 23, 1960.
She is survived by brother Harvey and sister Darlene, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, brothers Lawrence and Robert, and sisters Ruth and Bertha.
Dorothy loved animals and the outdoors. She was friendly to everyone. She would start a conversation with, “Guess what job I did with a pick and shovel?” Or “Why do they call me a big fool?” We know the answers. Her many stories, we all can cherish. Patrick the horse, viewing her big vegetable and flower gardens, that the meter reader forgot to read the meter. Trailering two 400 lb. pigs. Loaves of rye bread. Flying Dutchman.

Visitation at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens Point, will be Thursday, Nov. 9,starting at 11 AM. Dorothy’s service will be at 11:30 AM, with Pastor Carl Winkleman officiating.
