Jazz Band to Perform at UW-Stevens Point

Take a musical journey through works by favorite jazz composers as the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Jazz Band performs Tuesday, Nov. 21.
The “Jazz Journey III” concert will be held at 7:30 PM in Michelsen Hall in the Noel Fine Arts Center, directed by David Hastings, professor of saxophone and music theory.
The Jazz Band will perform “Nightmare” by Artie Shaw, “In a Mellow Tone” by Duke Ellington, “Samba De Hops” by Mark Taylor, “Sunset Glow” by Benny Carter and featuring Associate Professor Patrick Lawrence on trombone, “Sig Ep” by Woody Herman, “Kids are Pretty People” by Thad Jones and “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight” by Lyle Mays.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for senior citizens, $5 for UW-Stevens Point students, faculty and youth and free the day of the concert for students with a UW-Stevens Point I.D. if not sold out.
