Marcia (Wallrich) Heinz, 91, Stevens Point, formerly of Amherst, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at Ascension St. Michael’s Hospital, Stevens Point.

She was born Aug. 20, 1926, the daughter of Marshall and Ruth (Young) Wallrich.

She was married to Keith William Heinz Sept. 8, 1949, in Shawano.

She enjoyed fishing from her pier on Shawano Lake, entertaining friends and family and going to the casino. She also had a passion for feeding and watching birds and also did a National Audubon count on Jan. 1 every year. She also loved golden retrievers, singing and riddles.

Survivors include sons Jeff (Jackie) Heinz, Amherst, Steve (Rudi) Heinz, Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Bill Goin, Plano, Texas, Jason (Stacey) Heinz, Savannah, Georgia, Liz Heinz, Amherst, and Nicki Heinz, Amherst; and great-grandchildren, Blake Heinz, Ellery and Barrett Heinz.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Marshall and Ruth Young Wallrich; her husband Keith Heinz; her son Larry Heinz; Brothers Dick Wallrich, Jim Wallrich, and sister Jeanne Morris.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Waupaca, with Rev. Nigel Bousfield officiating. Visitation was Monday, Nov. 27, at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home, Amherst, and again at the church Tuesday. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank her caregivers and staff at The Lodge, Plover, and her medical staff at St. Michael’s.
