Family Displaced After Hull Fire

It was a sad start to the county’s “Keep the Wreath Green” campaign.
A family of three has been displaced following a Thanksgiving morning fire at their home on the 5800 block of Regent St. in the Town of Hull.
According to Hull Fire Chief Ken Sadogierski, crews were called to the scene at about 9 AM on Nov. 23. When crews arrived there were flames visible from the street. Sadogierski said the fire started on the first floor before making its way upstairs.
Along with Hull, more than 30 firefighters responded to the scene from Stevens Point, Plover, Park Ridge, Dewey, Stockton and Rosholt.
“We had to bring in extra tenders (water trucks) because this is a non-hydrant area,” Sadogierski said.
Part of the home collapsed during the blaze, and the garage is completely gone, along with three vehicles on the property, he said.
No injuries were sustained due to the fire but the home was considered a total loss.
Crews were on the scene for over four hours. The cause of the fire in under investigation.
