To give our thanks those who have served, or are currently serving in our nation’s military, Central Wisconsin Area Theater (cwACT) will be giving away a family pass for our live radio play “A Christmas Carol” to three local service members.

Service members can be nominated by going to our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/cwact) and clinking on the link to the nomination form, or by visiting http://goo.gl/5XbddD. The deadline for nominations is 11 p.m. Dec. 1. Winners will be announced Friday, Dec. 8.

We will also be collecting nonperishable food and winter clothing donations to benefit Operation Bootstrap at each of the two performances.

Performances are Dec. 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Sentry’s Theater@1800.

The Charles Dickens holiday classic “A Christmas Carol” comes to life as a live 1940s radio broadcast, complete with vintage commercials and the magic of live sound effects and musical underscoring.

A handful of actors bring dozens of characters to the stage, as the familiar story unfolds: Three ghosts take Ebenezer Scrooge on a thrilling journey to teach him the true meaning of Christmas. A charming take on a family favorite that will leave no one saying “Bah Humbug!”
