November 23-27 Plover Police Calls

Panhandler: Police gave a 33-year-old man who was panhandling on Village Park Dr. in Plover a ride to St. Bronislava Catholic Church on Nov. 23 at 1:59 PM.

Threats: Officers responded to the 3000 block of Katherine Circle on Nov. 23 at 2:40 PM where a 57-year-old Plover man had allegedly threatened a 50-year-old man. No citations were issued.

Holiday Heist: A 42-year-old Stevens Point man was arrested for felony theft after attempting to steal over $500 worth of laptops, tablets and DVDs from Walmart on Nov. 23 at 8 PM.

Breakfast Delivery: Police responded to Spee Dee Delivery on Mecca Dr. in Plover where a vehicle had been egged on Nov. 24 at 9:24 PM. There was no damage to the vehicle and the suspects’ parents were spoken to.

Brought It On Yourself: A 23-year-old Plover man was cited for operating without a valid license after he called police to MotoMart where he’d locked himself out of his car on Nov. 25 at 6:14 AM.

Hit-And-Run: Police responded to the Plover Shopko store on Nov. 25 at 2:30 PM where a 19-year-old Almond man had been in a hit-and-run accident with an unknown suspect.

Hitchin’ A Ride: Officers performed a welfare check on three young men walking on Porter Rd. in Plover on Nov. 26 at 12:57 PM. The men were trying to hitchhike. No citations were issued.

Big Ticket Item: A 19-year-old Rosholt man was arrested for felony theft after attempting to steal $2,254.03 of merchandise from the Plover Walmart on Nov. 27 at 2:04 PM. The stolen items were not listed.

November 28

Muddy Buddy: Extra patrols were requested after a 42-year-old Amherst woman reported unknown suspects were mudding near Burbank Rd. and Old Hwy. 18 in Stevens Point at 9:57 AM.

Bail Jumper: A 25-year-old Stevens Point man was arrested for misdemeanor bail jumping while making his day report at the Portage County Jail at 8:48 PM.

Repo Refusal: Deputies responded to the 6500 block of Cty. Rd. D at 8:52 PM after an unnamed vehicle owner attempted to drive his vehicle off a tow truck once it had been repossessed. The suspect reportedly gave up before deputies arrived.

Another Jumper: A 34-year-old Mosinee man was arrested for felony bail jumping while making his day report at the Portage County Jail at 9:25 PM.
