Breakfast with Santa

Community members looking to have breakfast with Santa are welcome to attend the event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 2, in the Dreyfus University Center, Laird Room, Stevens Point.
Breakfast with Santa has been an event for over 20 years at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP), and this year’s breakfast includes eggs, bacon, juice, coffee and cookies.
The event will also feature cookie decorating, arts and crafts and holiday card making. Santa will be available to take pictures with kids and listen to gift requests.
“I am looking forward to bringing students from the university together with members of the community for a fun filled day,” said Ben Vander Logt, event coordinator for Breakfast with Santa. “This event attracts a lot of families around the area, and its great to see these families interact with the student body.”
This year, the event will be teaming up with Campus Activities and Student Engagement (CASE)’s event “Tis the Season,” which is a volunteer activity where students can decorate cookies and holiday cards to be donated to nursing homes and terminally ill patients.
“This gives students and community members a chance to enjoy breakfast and meet with Santa while volunteering some of their time for people less fortunate during the holiday season,” said Vander Logt.
Tickets for the event cost $3 in advance for those with a UWSP student I.D. or $6 in advance for those without. Tickets will be available at the door as well, and cost $6 for those with a UWSP student I.D. or $9 without. Kids ages four and under are free.
