For 6-year-old Trenton Kaczmarek of Whiting, opening day of deer hunting couldn’t get much better. The young boy on Nov. 17, opening day of the 2017 gun deer hunting season, harvested two bucks, one a spike buck and one a six-pointer, faring better than his grandpa, Tim Kaczmarek, who also harvested a six-pointer opening morning on grandpa’s property in Pittsville.
