Boys & Girls Club Raises Over $13,000 for “Taste of Rosholt”
For the City Times
ROSHOLT – On Sunday, Dec. 3, guests of the inaugural Taste of Rosholt event held at McZ’s Brew Pub, enjoyed a social night accompanied by musical performances from some of Rosholt’s talented youth.
With a large basket raffle, 50/50 raffle, and a wide variety of hors d’oeuvres and beverages from local favorites, guests experienced the essence of Rosholt’s community. The event had over 100 attendees, including volunteers and sponsors who helped make it a huge success, raising over $13,000 to build great futures for the youth at the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County – Rosholt Extension.
The Boys & Girls Club staff and committee volunteers realize the success of this event would not have been possible without the support of many local businesses, vendors and volunteers. Thanks to the generous support that the Boys & Girls Club receives through this event, the organization is able to continue giving the kids of Rosholt a positive place to go when school is not in session.
The Boys & Girls Club gives kids a place to learn, grow, and become productive community members. At the Rosholt Club, kids are able to participate in many different programs like Cooking Club. In Cooking Club, members learn how to cook healthy meals. The programs at the Boys & Girls Clubs in Portage County prepare kids for the future and help them make healthy life decisions. The Taste of Rosholt event will ensure that Rosholt youth will have a place to call their own and a place to help them become who they are meant to be.
