Joey Hauser out for rest of season
By John Kemmeter
The Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) boys basketball team’s quest for a fourth consecutive WIAA Division 1 State Title will continue without Joey Hauser on the court.
The 6-8 All-State senior forward and NCAA Division 1 Marquette University recruit underwent surgery on his left ankle Monday, Dec. 11, and will be out for the rest of the 2017-18 season.
“I had to get surgery, and I knew I was probably going to be done for the year if I got surgery, but that’s what I’ve got to do,” said Hauser. “I can’t risk injuring it any more, so it’s the right decision.”
