Commitment keeps couple together for 70 years

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16:3.

They had and still have it all – they never asked for more, did what needed to be done, stayed positive and prayerful, and now Bob and Pat Ilten will celebrate 70 years together.

“They will tell you that it is solely due to the blessing of their almighty Father in heaven,” son Mark Ilten, Stevens Point, said. “It is He who has given them their love of each other, their patience, their complementary skills, their desire for and love of children and the rest of their family, their joy in treating each other as equals and their health.

“These are the blessings that have let them happily walk through this life together, regardless of the challenges,” he said.
