Surrounded by family, friends and coaches, Pacelli Catholic High School senior Paige Hintz made her college choice official Thursday, Dec. 14.

A First Team All-State selection in softball last season as a junior, and the Central Wisconsin Conference South Player of the Year in volleyball this fall as a senior, Hintz signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Madison College during a ceremony at Pacelli Thursday afternoon.

“I’m excited to focus on this last softball season that I have here at Pacelli, just because I love Pacelli softball and this program,” said Hintz. “But I’m also super excited, looking down the road a year, knowing I’m going to have the same kind of family environment with the team, and also knowing that I’m going to be a big contributor as well.”

“This has been a goal of hers ever since her freshman year; she talked about how she wanted to play college softball,” said Pacelli softball head coach Ann Molski. “And for her to work hard and fulfill that dream, that’s the nicest thing.

“It’s just really neat to see how much hard work she has put into this,” she said. “I’m really excited for her, this is a great opportunity.”

Paige Hintz has helped the Pacelli Catholic High School softball team reach the WIAA State Championship Game in two of the last three seasons.
