Sentry Classic set for Thursday through Saturday at UWSP

Junior guard Noah Kollock and the fifth-ranked Almond-Bancroft High School boys basketball team will face Amherst and Eau Claire Regis at the 46th Sentry Classic at Bennett Court at Quandt Fieldhouse.

The 46th Sentry Classic will be held at Bennett Court at Quandt Fieldhouse from Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 28-30.

The longest continuously run holiday basketball tournament in the state, the Sentry Classic features 16 high school teams from throughout Wisconsin, with an American Division and a National Division for both the boys and girls.

This year’s tournament field includes the boys and girls basketball teams from Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH), Pacelli Catholic High School and Amherst High School, as well as the Almond-Bancroft High School boys team, with each team playing two games in the three-day tournament.

Game 1: Amherst vs. Osseo-Fairchild (Girls American), 11 a.m.

Game 2: Amherst vs. Almond-Bancroft (Boys American), 12:45 p.m.

Game 3: Pacelli Catholic vs. St. Mary Catholic (Girls American), 2:30 p.m.

Game 4: La Crosse Aquinas vs. Divine Savior Holy Angels (Girls National), 4:15 p.m.

Game 5: SPASH vs. Waukesha North (Girls National), 6 p.m.

Game 6: Pacelli Catholic vs. Eau Claire Regis (Boys American, 7:45 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 29

Game 7: Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln vs. Green Bay Southwest (Boys National), noon

Game 8: La Crosse Aquinas vs. Waukesha North (Girls National), 1:45 p.m.

Game 9: Almond-Bancroft vs. Eau Claire Regis (Boys American), 3:30 p.m.

Game 10: SPASH vs. Divine Savior Holy Angels (Girls National), 5:15 p.m.

Game 11: SPASH vs. Burlington (Boys National), 7 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 30

Game 12: Pacelli Catholic vs. Osseo-Fairchild (Girls American), noon

Game 13: Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln vs. Burlington (Boys National), 1:45 p.m.

Game 14: Amherst vs. St. Mary Catholic (Girls American), 3:30 p.m.

Game 15: Pacelli Catholic vs. Amherst (Boys American), 5:15 p.m.

Game 16: SPASH vs. Green Bay Southwest (Boys National), 7 p.m.
