Rosholt Blizzard Busters host 28th annual Fisheree
By Cassie Lennox
As the weather gets colder and colder, Portage County residents search for something to pass the time and look forward to. Luckily, the Rosholt Blizzard Busters Annual Fisheree is just around the corner.
This will be the 28th annual Fisheree for the Blizzard Busters, a snowmobile club that supports trails in Portage, Waupaca and Marathon counties, and will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, on Lake Helen off of Hwy. 49 S.
“People tell us it is something to look forward to during the cold days of winter, and look forward to coming year after year,” said Nancy Kruzicki, who founded the Blizzard Busters in the early 70’s with her husband, John. “The locals come, plus people come from Appleton, Milwaukee and the surrounding areas. They come just to enjoy each other’s company and really look forward to the Fisheree.”
