Amanda Virsnieks-Rutkowski, 36, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at Ascension St. Michael’s Hospital, Stevens Point.

She was born Sept. 18, 1981, in Stevens Point to Larry and Joan (Danczyk) Rutkowski. She was a 2000 graduate of Pacelli High School and later attended Mid-State Technical College, where she graduated with a degree in business.

She was married to Eric Virsnieks Oct. 31, 2009, in Stevens Point.

She worked as a nanny and caregiver. She enjoyed being goofy, making people laugh, and spending time with her family, pup, Carlee, and friend, Neil Barden.

She is survived by her parents, Larry and Joan Rutkowski, Stevens Point; brother, Daniel (Kim) Rutkowski, Stevens Point; grandmother, Joan Danczyk, Stevens Point; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eric Virsnieks; and her grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family to be donated.

A Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev Dennis Stanchik officiating. Visitation was Thursday prior to services at the church.
