Pacelli Co-op boys hockey team looks to finish strong
By John Kemmeter
Comprised of athletes from Pacelli, Amherst, Almond-Bancroft, Iola-Scandinavia and Wisconsin Rapids Assumption high schools, the Pacelli co-op boys hockey team will look to build off its performance at the 20th Sentry Classic at K.B. Willett Arena last weekend, as it heads into the final stretch of the regular season.
The Cardinals lost 6-0 to sixth-ranked Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) Friday, Jan. 12, but bounced back with a 4-2 win over Mosinee Saturday, Jan. 13, to finish 1-1 at the tournament and improve to 3-12 overall this season.
“We’re going to keep these guys focused, keep the intensity up, and I think the second half of the season is going to be better for us,” said Pacelli Co-op boys hockey head coach Rusty Mitch.
