Ramona Kubicki

Ramona “Mona” Kubicki, 92, Plover, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Whispering Pines, Plover.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam officiating. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, at the Pisarski Funeral Home in Stevens Point. There will be a parish Rosary prayed at 7 p.m. Friday. Visitation will also take place from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass Saturday at the St. Faustina Room of St. Peter’s Church. The Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family. She was born May 27, 1925, the daughter of the late Ben and Pauline (Karashinski) Orlikowski, and was stepdaughter of the late Joseph Eckman. She attended local schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1943.
Her marriage to Edward J. Kubicki took place Oct. 27, 1947, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She worked for Weber Tackle Co. until her children were born and then was devoted to raising her family.
In 1966, she returned to work, taking a position at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in their food service until the time of her retirement.
She was a lifelong member of St Peter’s Catholic Church, where she was a member of the St. Peter’s Rosary Society Rose 15.
Her most precious time was spent being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the last surviving sibling of her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen (Donald) Allen and Bonnie (Silver) Niewiadomski; granddaughters, Nicole (Pablo) Martinez, Faith (Ben) Wright and Miracle Joy (Shawn) Szalewski; grandson, Jeramiah Niewiadomski; great-grandchildren, Ava, Zion, Maya, Autumn, Elizabeth, Kayln and Blake; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; grandson, Jonathan; sisters, Evelyn, Irene, Dorothy, Lucille and Patricia “Patsy;” stepsister, Ramona (Eckie); and brothers, Mike, Emerick “Butch” and Gerald.
