Obituary: Susan A. Domaszek, 60

Susan A. Domaszek age 60, of Amherst Junction passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Feb. 14, 2018 at her home.  She courageously battled cancer the past 3 1/2 years.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Susan will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday Feb. 17, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Rev. Greg Michaud will officiate.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.  A Rosary will be prayed at the church for Susan at 9:00 AM on Saturday, followed by visitation until 10:45 AM at the church.  Shuda Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Susan was born May 30, 1957 in Stevens Point the daughter of George Sr. and Sadie (Kurzynski) Walkush.  She graduated from Rosholt High School in 1975.  Susan married Patrick Domaszek on September 4, 1976 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church.  The couple settled in Amherst Junction and have lived in the home Patrick built since their marriage.  Susan volunteered at Sacred Heart School, and baked for all the church events.  She was a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society.  Susan enjoyed attending church and praying together with Patrick.  She worked for a time in the Walmart Gardening Center.  Susan enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, shopping, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Patrick and their two daughters: Amanda (Juan) Urrea, Brookfield and Kayla Domaszek (fiance’ Brady Garbrecht), Edgerton.  Four grandchildren: Jacinta, Jacob, Julia, and Jasmine.  One sister: Pauline (Myron) Wierzba; two brothers: George and John Walkush, all of Rosholt.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws: Wanda and Eugene Domaszek, and her sister-in-law: Chong-Suk Domaszek.

Susan’s family wishes to thank Dr. Onitillo and Interim Hospice & Pallitive Care, especially Sandy Kaminski and Shannon Gore.
