Dugan, Schulist Advance to April 3 General Election

STEVENS POINT — And then there was two.
After months of campaigning, the spot for District 8 Alderperson will come down to incumbent Cathy Dugan, and challenger Lynn Schulist in the April 3 general election. With 100 percent of precincts voting, Dugan came in first with 201 votes, (49%) with Schulist not far behind with 173 votes. (42%)
Al Prosser garnered 37 votes. (9%)
“I am very pleased with the District 8 primary election results, grateful to my campaign supporters for working so diligently and honored that voters are putting their trust in me,” said Dugan. “Now, we go on to the April 3 general election with energy and high hopes.”
“As a challenger, I find the results to be very promising, as there are a fair amount of people who want a change,” said Schulist. “I am looking forward to meeting more residents of District 8 and listening to what is important to them in the coming weeks. I would also like to thank my supporters, family and friends as I could not have made it this far with out them.’”
