Rosemary Bruce, 82, Milton, a Junction City native, died at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison Saturday, March 10, 2018.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 19, at Cargill United Methodist Church in Janesville, with Pastor Susan Lockman officiating. Interment was at City of Milton Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation was at the church before the services.

Mrs. Bruce was born Feb. 16, 1936, in Marshfield, a daughter of the late William and Patricia Tessmer of Junction City. She grew up in Junction City and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point in 1954.

She earned an LPN degree in Madison in 1956 and later earned her RN degree from Blackhawk Technical Institute in May 1981. Rosemary worked at Rock Haven Health Center (Janesville) for many years.

She was married to Nathan W. Bruce in Dubuque, Iowa, on May 28, 1960.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Mark (Lisa), Sean (Shannon) and Nate; three sisters: Peggy June (Conlin Maier), Wisconsin Rapids, Nancy (Kenneth) Tippery, Lodi, and Sharon (Gerald) Studinski, Custer; two brothers, William (Louise) Tessmer and James (Kathleen) Tessmer, both of Junction City; one brother-in-law, David Bishop, Hendersonville, N.C.; and five grandsons.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Todd Bruce; one sister, Judith Bishop; and one brother-in-law, Virgil Bruce.
