Letter: ‘Dugan has Long History of Interest in Local Government and Problem Solving’

Cathy Dugan, current District 8 Alder, is solidly connected to Stevens Point. She and her family moved here in the 1970’s. Both Cathy and her children attended local schools. Kathy earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UWSP. She taught in local high schools and at both UWSP and Mid-State Technical College.
Cathy has a long history of interest in local government and problem solving. She wrote a column for the local paper titled “Eye on the Neighborhood” which was about happenings in the city. For years, she attended City Council meetings to prepare her column. She also served as a concerned and active citizen on several city committees including but not limited to Portage County Groundwater Advisory Committee and the City Redevelopment Committee.
Cathy is running for re-election on April 3. I encourage you to vote for Kathy Dugan for District 8 Alder. Thank you.
