Rudolph R. Drifka, 84, died Thursday, March 15, 2018, following a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, March 22, at St. Adalbert Church in Rosholt, with the Rev. Jeffrey Hennes officiating. Burial was at the parish cemetery with full military honors

Visitation was Thursday at the church.

Shuda Funeral Services in Stevens Point and Plover assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.shudafuneral.com.

Mr. Drifka was born Jan. 24, 1934, a son of the late Felix G. and Margaret (Herman) Drifka.

He was drafted into the U.S. Army at the age of 22 and was stationed in Korea. He was honorably discharged.

He was married to Lorraine Stencel Oct. 13, 1962.

He worked for Howe Silo in Plover and later became a truck driver for Dahlman Truck Lines in Stevens Point where he was an active Teamster member. When Dahlman Truck Lines closed shop, he ended his career at Glodowski Trucking in Rosholt.

Upon his retirement at 62, he and his wife took trips to Las Vegas, Branson, South Dakota and Eagle River.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; one daughter, Sandra Drifka; one son, Darrell Drifka; one brother, Eugene Drifka; and five sisters, Germaine, Arlene, Geraldine, Marie and Candy.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte and Anna.
