City Announces Stanley St. Meeting for Lane Reconfiguration

STEVENS POINT — A public involvement meeting as been announced for March 28 regarding traffic lane conversions on Stanley St.
A letter was sent out to property owners, residents and occupiers along Stanley Street as well as 1-2 blocks from Stanley Street, according to a city news release. The letter reads as follows:
Dear Property Owner/Resident/Occupier;
The City of Stevens Point will be conducting a Public Involvement Meeting regarding recommendations for traffic lane reconfiguration (4 to 3 lanes) for the Stanley Street corridor. Local officials, property owners, and other interested parties are invited to attend the meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 28, 2018, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., in the Sletcher Room at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church located at 600 Wilshire Blvd., Stevens Point. Use the parking lot and entrance closest to the school.
This meeting is to present the City’s findings regarding the concept of a lane conversion on Stanley Street and to receive public input from constituents in the surrounding area.
