Doris L. Dunn, 94, Iola, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Care Partners in Stevens Point.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 3, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Iola. Burial was in the church cemetery.21

Visitation was at the church Tuesday.

Mrs. Dunn was born Nov. 20, 1923, in Galloway, a daughter of the late Jorgen K. and Selma M. (Klope) Lien. She was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at Christ Evangelical Church in Rosholt. She attended Birch Grove Elementary School in Galloway and graduated from Rosholt High School in 1941.

During World War II, she worked at the defense plant in Milwaukee.

She was married to Robert R. Dunn June 20, 1949, in Wausau. He died Nov. 15, 1992.

She became a Navy wife after their marriage.

After retiring to Wisconsin, she was very active in her church, especially the Esther & Mary Morning Circle.

Survivors include one son, Jery Dunn, Nelsonville; one stepson-in-law, Len Johnstone, Canada; and three grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by six siblings.
