Letter: Gebert ‘Has Experience for County Executive’
To the Editor:
Local businesses like Marten Machining and Sentry Insurance Company among others provide internships so the intern can hit the ground running on the first day when hired. Jami Gebert has been the executive secretary to the current County Executive for the past 8 years but, notwithstanding the experience, she is not a clone. She knows the strengths and weaknesses of the county and she knows the budget limitations imposed by the State Government. She knows how to work with the County Board, the County Departments and numerous citizen groups to set priorities and the budget. And she is involved in leadership or active citizen to accomplish tasks for the benefit of citizens and the County that government can’t do.
Jami still maintains her family farm roots by “throwing hay bales” and doing other chores as needed. Vote for Jami Gebert on April 3rd. She will know what to do on day one.
