Brian L. Woznicki, age 48, of Stevens Point, died March 21, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital surrounded by his loving family after a long courageous battle with colon cancer.

Brian was born December 23, 1969 to Alan “Abe” & Patricia “Pat” (Bleier) Woznicki in Wausau, WI. He attended the local grade schools and graduated from D.C. Everest High School in 1988.

He worked as an Apprentice Electrician and tended bar at Club Forest before joining the family at Boston Funeral Home as a Funeral Assistant.  He was very proud to serve his community for many years until his illness could no longer allow him to work.

He married the love of his life, April Boston on October 2, 2004. They later became the proud parents to Joshua and Lucas.

Brian was an avid sportsman who enjoyed going fishing up north at the Mondeaux Retreat and deer hunting at the Hatley 40.  He relished spending time with his two boys, teaching them everything he knew about the outdoors. He was a Point beer aficionado and enjoyed spending his free time competing in BBQ Competitions around the state. He followed his passion, taking many road trips around the state taste testing many meat dishes. Brian truly enjoyed the simple things in life; spending time with his family and just laying out in his back yard relaxing in his hammock.

He is survived by his wife, April; sons, Joshua, 11 & Lucas, 8; parents, Abe & Pat Woznicki of Weston; brother, Scott (Kristy) of Woburn, MA; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Mary Boston, of Plover; brothers-in-law, Nathan (Amy) Boston of Plover and Chris Boston of New Orleans, LA; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Holy Spirit Parish, 838 Fremont Street, Stevens Point. Visitation will be held Monday, March 26th from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Boston Funeral Home in Stevens Point, WI. Visitation will also precede the funeral on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be held in Forest Cemetery at a later date.
