STEVENS POINT – The Rotary Club of Stevens Point will host its Second Annual Cribbage Tournament on April 7 at Rookies Sportspub in Stevens Point. The tournament starts at 12pm with registration open at 11:30. Each player will play 9 games and will change partners between each match.

“The Rotary Club of Greater Portage County is involved in a lot of local and international focus projects,” said Club President Rachel Swedberg. “Our club makes it a point to choose projects that will have a lasting impact, that will solve a root problem instead of just providing a band-aid, and support projects where our members can be actively involved.”

The proceeds from the fundraiser benefit projects with which the club participates. Past and present examples include; toy drives for the holidays, food drives for the USWP student food pantry, international aid projects, microphone sets for the Playhouse Theater Group, equipment purchases for Cycling Without Age and so on.

Admission into the contest is $15 pre-registration and $20 if registering at the tournament. There are 40 slots available and the grand prize is $100.00 in Portage County Gift Certificates. For more information on the tournament, please contact Brandon Taylor, event coordinator, at 715-340-8698 or [email protected]

Rotary Club of Greater Portage County is a service club that meets every Friday at 7:00 at the County Annex Building. For more information about the Rotary Club of Greater Portage County, please go to http://www.portagecountyrotary.com
