Obituary: Louis Ferdon, 68

Louis G. “Louie” Ferdon, age 68, a resident of Plainfield, IL since 1979, formerly of Stevens Point, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 26, 2018 at his home. He was born on October 14, 1949 in Stevens Point, WI.

He was the beloved husband of Sandi Ferdon (nee Newnam), whom he married June 14, 1975; loving father of Amy (Jason) Rosillo of Plainfield, Sarah (Bob) Dyxin of Minooka, IL and Matthew Ferdon of Rockdale, IL; adored grandfather of Logan and Lillyann Rosillo; Parker and Emma Dyxin; devoted son of the late Louis and Frances (nee Giese) Ferdon; dear brother of Ella (Bobby) Mendyke of Stevens Point, WI and the late Jean (the late Kenneth) Waterson; fond cousin, uncle, great-uncle; and friend of many.

Louie grew up in Stevens Point, graduated from SPASH, Class of 1967 and received a degree in industrial technology from the University of Wisconsin at Platteville. He was employed for 18 years as an area manager of parts & services with John Deere Industrial, Moline, IL and was currently in his 24th year as a project manager with Baish Excavating, Inc., Plainfield, IL.

Louie enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and watching old cowboy movies.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Boston Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Hulke presiding. A time of visitation will precede at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. A Committal Rite and Burial will follow at Linwood Union Cemetery.
