Lawrence A. Basinski, 92, Plover, died Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Atrium Point Manor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 6, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Visitation was scheduled at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home in Plover from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 5, with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the Mass.

Mr. Basinski was born July 27, 1925, in the town of Sharon, a son of the late Leo and Johanna (Wrycza) Basinski. He attended local schools.

He farmed with his family until 1955, when he attended Greer School of Engineering in Chicago Ill.

After graduation he was employed in Milwaukee.

He was married to Veronica Kruzicki in 1957. She preceded him in death in 2014.

The couple moved to the Plover area, and he and his brother Ben started Plover Auto Body until he retired in 1996 after selling the business to his sons Larry and David.

Survivors include three sons, Larry (Kathy), Alan and David; one daughter, Brenda (Patrick) Suplicki; one brother, Gerald; two sisters-in –law, Helen and Bernell Basinski; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ben and Chester; and two sisters, Evelyn Budzinski and Esther Kluck; and one daughter-in-law, Jennifer Basinski.
