STEVENS POINT — A trio of downtown Stevens Point business’ will celebrate their anniversaries this weekend with sales and in-store promotions.

Assembly Shop (two years in business), Diversi-Tea (three years) and Galaxy Comics, Games & More (13 years), which are all located on the 900 block of Clark Street, all opened on April 1, but are celebrating this weekend.

Diversi-Tea will offer in-store specials on select items Friday, April 6, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“We wanted to give a special thank you to our customers,” said Judy Van Berkel, who owns Diversi-Tea with her husband, Doug. “We are happy to be part of downtown Stevens Point and are grateful for the friends our customers have become.”

Assembly Shop will feature in-store discounts Friday and Saturday, April 6-7. Treats from the Main Grain Bakery and drinks by Zach Strenger will be served. Assembly will also have online specials April 6-9 at www.assembly-shop.com

“Our loyal customer base is a special demographic and I appreciate all of their support during our short time in business. This is my small way of saying thank-you and we hope to continue bringing them elevated styles for their lifestyle for years to come,” said Quyen Hom, owner of Assembly Shop.

Galaxy’s Low-Key Anniversary Party is set for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 7.  The store is running an extra 10 percent off storewide, including at their Café, which is open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Gamers Who Care (the group that runs the Meeplestock game convention) will be in-store all day demoing board games.

“After 13 years, I still feel incredibly lucky to have such a great community of customers whose continued support makes it possible for us to grow and change with the times,” said Chris Randazzo, owner of Galaxy Comics, Games & More.
