Earth Day Celebration Slated for Lincoln Center

STEVENS POINT — As a way of celebrating sustainability and local foods, the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC)/ Lincoln Center is hosting an Earth Day Celebration on Monday, April 23, at 11:00 a.m.
This free event will be open to the public. It will include educational speakers, tips on home gardening, a vegetable plant giveaway, exciting ADRC announcements and a farmer recognition. Representative Shankland, Mayor Mike Wiza and community partners will be present to celebrate the Senior Nutrition Program’s local food initiatives. A meal featuring local produce will follow at noon.
The cost for people age 60 years and over is by donation (suggested donation $3.50); $7.75 for those under 60. Please contact Lincoln Center, 1519 Water St., Stevens Point, at 715-346- 1401 or toll free, 1-866- 920-2525 to make reservations for the luncheon no later than noon on Friday, April 20.
