Irene V. Betro

Irene V. Betro, 90, Amherst, a former owner of the Smokey Spur in the town of Stockton, died Monday, April 16, 2018.
A memorial service was held Friday April 20, at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, with Deacon Vern Linzmeier officiating.
Visitation was at the funeral home Friday.
Burial of cremains will be at a later date in the St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Fancher.

Mrs. Betro was born July 27, 1927, a daughter of the late Dennis and Regina (Anderson) Kenowski.
She was married to Lawrence Betro Nov. 17, 1957. He preceded her in death.
She and her husband ran the Smokey Spur for 28 years. In 2005 she retired from Anthony Farms in Scandinavia.
Survivors include two sons, James (Donna) Betro, Amherst, and Paul (Tamera) Kenowski, Stevens Point; one brother, Ron (Diane) Kenowski; one sister, Joanne (Ken) Zimmerman; one daughter-in-law, Betty Betro; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Don; and two sisters, Delores and Phyllis.
