Teresa M. Lane-Grapsas

Teresa M. “Tese” Lane-Grapsas, 54, a speech and language pathologist for the Stevens Point Area Public School District, died Monday, April 16, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.

A memorial will be established at a later date.

Mrs. Lane-Grapsas was born Dec. 12, 1963, in Minneapolis, Minn., a daughter of Colleen M. (Maher) Lane and the late John F. Lane. She was raised and made her home in Stevens Point.

She graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High School and then from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW) with a degree in education.

She returned home to Stevens Point and earned a master’s degree in speech/language pathology from UW-Stevens Point.

She was married to Tony Grapsas.

She was a speech/language pathologist in the Stevens Point Area Public School District, working at Bannach Elementary for 26 years.

Her summer job was at Chet’s Blueberry Patch.

In her spare time, she sewed thousands of mittens, blankets, hats and baby buntings.

Survivors include her husband, Tony Grapsas; three children, Casey Grapsas, Molly Grapsas and Sophie Grapsas; her mother, Colleen Lane; her siblings, Mary (Nick) Weaver, Johnny Lane, Kathleen (Patrick) Quinn and Tricia Lane; and her mother-in-law, Yvonne Grapsas.
