Roy C. Duda

Roy C. Duda, 92, a lifelong resident of the town of Linwood, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at his home while under the care of his family and Heartland Hospice.
A Celebration of Life service was held Saturday, April 21, at the Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point, with Pastor Matthew Mallek officiating. Burial was in the Linwood Cemetery.
Visitation was at the funeral chapel Friday and again Saturday.

Mr. Duda was born Sept. 9, 1925, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Michael and Anna (Pazignot) Duda. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1944.
He was the 1947 and 1948 state Golden Gloves Champion.
He was married to Margo Mills Dec. 30, 1961.
He began working on the family farm as a child and later ran the farm with his brother, Alex.
Survivors include five children, Robert Duda, Debra (Kurt) Kostuch, Lori (Dean) Shuda, LeRoy (Tammy) Duda and Jeffery Duda; one sister, Irene Joswick; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Joe, Bruno, Walter, Henry, Alex, Raymond and; and one sister, Helen.
