Robert M. Rogers, 62, Stevens Point, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2018, at the Portage County Health Care Center in Stevens Point.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 14, at St Martin Catholic Cemetery in Ellis.

Mr. Rogers was born April 6, 1955, in Stevens Point, a son of the late William and Jeanne (Steffanus) Rogers. He grew up in the Stevens Point area and attended local schools.

He furthered his education at Mid-State Technical School with a emphasis in accounting.

In his earlier years, he worked on his uncle’s farm. He later became employed with the student loan collections department at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He then worked in Green Bay as a foreman. He returned to the Stevens Point area and he worked at Figi’s.

Survivors include his siblings, Susan, Nashotah, Bruce, New London, Richard (Rosi), San Diego, Calif., Ellen, Butternut, Maurice, Weyauwega, Niles, La Crosse, and Philip (Marcella), The Woodlands, Texas; nieces; and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Linda; and one nephew, Bradley.
